Guitar set up and repair service off to a great start

Pleased to say we are making good progress with our guitar set up and repair service. We've had a wide range of jobs from simple set ups to replacing some dud pots in a Strat type guitar. We also shielded that instrument to reduce the usual hum you get with single coil pickups. That was a great guitar to work on and I hope the owner has a lot of fun with it. We've also resurrected a super PRS style guitar that had been languishing for a few years and just needed some tlc to get it back into shape. After a bit of time cleaning all the components and reconditioning the fret board, it looked stunning. A fresh set of strings and it sings like a bird.

Just finished off an overhaul of a DIMEBAG DEAN FROM HELL - the blue one, with the lightning bolt. An unusual guitar - one for the metal lovers out there, for sure. The quality of this instrument is exceptional - but those Floyd Rose bridges are something to set up from scratch. No replacing the strings one by one to keep the tension stable as the bridge needed a good clean up, but it came up like new which is a testimony to the design of these trems. I've never been a big fan of complicated bridges, but the level of tuning you can achieve with a Floyd is amazing.

This is one hell of a guitar - puntastic! It is now spotlessly clean - looks like new. The owner wants to sell it, so if anyone is interested get in touch with us 01492 535123. It has a genuine Dean hard case too - still has the label on it.

Back to it - two more Strats to sort!
